Raised within the walls of the Agios Georghios Royal Palace, His Excellency Philip James is first cousin to HRH King Paul I.

Trained in diplomacy and military affairs, His Excellency was appointed to the Diplomatic Corps following service in the Regia Evzone (Royal Guard).He has served in numerous posts including Deputy First Minister and Minister of Defence. Awarded Paulovia Order of Merit (POM) in 2005 and Order of St. Michael with Gold Olives (OSMG) in 2006.

Currently serving as Principal Ambassador and Governor of Opulenza Region. Betowed the title of Count of Bolzano by HM King Paul in January 2007.
